Shri Nandasan Tirth, also called Shri Jay Tribhuvan Tirth, stands beside the Ahmedabad–Palanpur highway at Nandasan in Kadi taluka of Mehsana district. Its moolnayak is Shri Manmohan Parshwanath. With its dharamshala and bhojanshala, it is a peaceful halt for yatris travelling between Ahmedabad and north Gujarat.
The tirth
A carved stone gateway opens onto a long path lined with palms, lawns and stone benches, leading to the main temple of carved pink stone, raised on a high plinth with a tall central shikhar and smaller shrines on either side.
Around the gardens stand further domed shrines in the same pink stone, and a tall white seated idol watches over the grounds.
Staying at Nandasan
The dharamshala, for Jain yatris, has simple non-AC rooms with attached bathrooms, from rooms for four to large rooms for groups of ten, with hot water, RO drinking water, parking and space for drivers. Check-in and check-out are at 9 am, and rooms can be requested with a mobile number and email.
The bhojanshala serves Jain meals: breakfast until 9 am, lunch from 11:30 am to 1 pm, and the evening meal from 5 pm, timed by the panchang before sunset. Rates change from time to time, so please confirm them with the tirth.
