Moolnayak: Shri Shantinath Bhagwan

Shri Shantinath Jain Tirth in Kalri, near Becharaji in Mehsana district, is a much-revered local tirth, about 160 years old, whose moolnayak is Bhagwan Shantinath, the 16th Tirthankar. The complex also has shrines of other Tirthankars, among them a prominent idol of Bhagwan Naminath, the 21st Tirthankar, which makes it a meaningful stop for devotees travelling through the Mehsana–Becharaji temple belt.

The deities

The main sanctum holds the calm, beautifully carved white marble idol of Shantinath Dada.

Other shrines within the complex let pilgrims offer their prayers to Naminath Dada as well.

For sadhu and sadhvi maharaj saheb

An upashray is available for sadhu and sadhvi maharaj saheb, and arrangements for gochri can also be made. Please contact the tirth in advance.

Getting here

The tirth is in Kalri village of Becharaji taluka, well connected along the NH-68 highway corridor. It is about 3.4 km from the Shri Bahucharaji Mataji temple, and the nearest railway stations are Becharaji and Dethli.
