તિથિ એટલે શુંWhat a tithi is
A tithi is the time the moon takes to move 12 degrees ahead of the sun, a little under a day. The tithi current at sunrise is the tithi of that day.
ક્ષયKshay
When a tithi begins after one sunrise and ends before the next, no sunrise falls in it, and it is kshay (lost). It is kept on the day it begins.
વૃદ્ધિVruddhi
When a tithi covers two sunrises it is vruddhi (repeated), and the same tithi falls on two days. A parva tithi is kept on the second day.
