Parva tithi Poonam is kshay Panchak
  • Nakshatra Shatabhisha till 8:21 PM, then Purva Bhadrapada
  • Panchak All day

Panchak is the five-nakshatra stretch from the second half of Dhanishtha to Revati, when the moon is in Kumbh and Meen rashi. Some families avoid starting certain work in it; follow your own Sangh's or elders' practice.

One of the twelve parva tithis of the month, when many observe tap such as ekasana, ayambil or upvas, do pratikraman and avoid green vegetables (lilotri).

Poonam begins and ends between today's sunrise and tomorrow's, so it is observed today.
