ૐ ઘંટાકર્ણો મહાવીરઃ, સર્વવ્યાધિ-વિનાશકઃ;
વિસ્ફોટક ભયં પ્રાપ્તે, રક્ષ-રક્ષ મહાબલઃ.
॥ ૧ ॥
યત્ર ત્વં તિષ્ઠસે દેવ! લિખિતોઽક્ષર-પંક્તિભિઃ;
રોગાસ્તત્ર પ્રણશ્યન્તિ, વાત પિત્ત કફોદ્ભવાઃ.
॥ ૨ ॥
તત્ર રાજભયં નાસ્તિ, યાન્તિ કર્ણે જપાત્ક્ષયમ્;
શાકિની-ભૂત વેતાલા, રાક્ષસાઃ પ્રભવન્તિ નો.
॥ ૩ ॥
નાકાલે મરણં તસ્ય, ન ચ સર્પેણ દૃશ્યતે;
અગ્નિ ચૌર ભયં નાસ્તિ, નાસ્તિ તસ્યારિ-ભયં.
॥ ૪ ॥
ૐ હ્રીં મહાવીર! નમોઽસ્તુ તે ઠઃ ઠઃ ઠઃ સ્વાહા.
પરિચયAbout
Shri Ghantakarna Mahavir is a vir, a protector dev venerated in the Shwetambar tradition. He is not Bhagwan Mahavir Swami, the 24th Tirthankar: "Mahavir" in his name means "the great hero". Sukhadi is his prasad.
મહુડીMahudi
The best-known place of his worship is the Mahudi Jain Temple in Gujarat, where Acharya Shri Buddhisagarsuri installed his murti after having a vision of him. Devotees come especially on Kali Chaudas for protection and blessings. The sukhadi prasad offered at Mahudi is eaten within the temple premises and is not taken away. His murti and prayers are also found in other Shwetambar temples.
