Shri Vimalnath: life and stories

In a former life he was a king in Mahavideh who took diksha and, through the aradhana of the twenty sthanak, bound the Tirthankar naam karma; he was then born as a dev in the higher devlok.
On Vaishakh Sud 12 his soul came into the womb of Queen Shyama, wife of King Kritavarma of Kampilyapur, and she saw the fourteen great dreams.
The tradition says that while he was in the womb his mother's mind and body became pure (vimal), so he was named Vimal. His chinh is the boar.
He was born on Maha Sud 3, and the Indras celebrated the janmabhishek on Meru.
After the Lokantik devs came to request him and a year of varshidaan, he took diksha on Maha Sud 4 with a thousand kings.
He attained kevalgyan on Posh Sud 6; the devs built the samavasaran and the fourfold sangh was set up.
On Jeth Vad 7 Shri Vimalnath attained nirvan on Sammet Shikhar.
